Our Story
When you adopt from us,
you join our family.
We're a small, family-owned and operated Golden Retriever breeder located in West Texas — but our golden family spans from coast to coast. Every puppy we place becomes part of a lifelong network: we maintain contact with all our owners and connect litter-mates across the country through Facebook on our private 'Panhandle Goldens' page.
Every puppy is born and raised in our home, handled daily, and thoroughly socialized before going home with you at 7 weeks. We breed for temperament first — the true golden personality — and health second, with extensive OFA clearances on every breeding dog.
We don't just hand you a puppy and wish you luck. We're here for the questions, the milestones, and the moments — for the life of your dog.

The Breed
Intelligent, Loyal,
and Endlessly Joyful.
It's no surprise that the Golden Retriever is one of the top ten most popular dogs in the U.S. It's all good with the Golden: they are highly intelligent, sociable, beautiful, and loyal.
They are also lively. The Golden is slow to mature and retains the silly, playful personality of a puppy until three to four years of age, which can be both delightful and annoying. Many keep their puppyish traits into old age. The Golden Retriever is a family dog, and he needs to be with his "pack." Pack is defined as the family and other dogs. Don't consider getting a Golden unless you're willing to have him in the house with you, underfoot, every day.
There's one other potential drawback (if you can even call it that) to the breed: They are definitely not watchdogs. They might bark when strangers come around, but don't count on it. Most likely, they'll wag their tail and flash that characteristic Golden smile.
Puppy Care
Ready for a Golden
in Your Home?
Can you picture a large, golden-colored dog romping through your backyard, sleeping on your couch, playing with your children and joining your family with whatever they are doing? If so, you might be the perfect candidate to get a Golden Retriever as a pet.
Golden Retrievers, often simply called Goldens, are as friendly and fun-loving as they are beautiful. If you are thinking about getting a puppy or an older dog, here are the things you need to know to properly take care of your new Golden Retriever.
We invite our buyers to visit their puppies on weekends to bond with their puppy. This also significantly reduces separation anxiety when they leave their siblings.
We also begin pellet potty training the puppies at 4 weeks.
Neuro-stimulation is provided beginning at 4 weeks with toddler toys with steps, a toddler car with pockets to hunt treats, and snuffle mats to use their noses. We provide various exercises for the puppies to socialize, investigate, and experience.
