Panhandle Golden Retrievers
Our Boys
Meet our studs — each health-tested, AKC registered, and chosen for temperament, conformation, and heart.

Meet
Ben
Ben (Benelli) is our newest pup at Panhandle Golden Retrievers. He is Ruger's nephew — keeping the same beloved bloodline in our program. Born in December 2024, Ben already shows all the qualities we love in a golden. He is lean, powerful, and naturally athletic — incredibly loving and surprisingly intuitive for such a young pup.
This handsome boy has a rich red, silky coat with lighter feathering on his chest and fringe. He's both intelligent and loyal, always eager to please and happiest when he's close to his people. While the girls bark and play, Ben prefers to hang back with Lynn, taking it all in. Even in his puppy chaos, he's got a gentle, old soul kind of presence.
According to his Embark panel, Ben carries a rare protective gene that shields him from liver conditions commonly found in Golden Retrievers — a valuable trait we're thrilled to pass along. When adopting a puppy from Ben, you will receive a copy of his AKC certificate, health certifications, and pedigree.
Retired Studs
These boys have earned their retirement after years of producing exceptional litters.

Meet
Ruger
Ruger is from JHW Ranch Goldens in Gober, TX. Per Embark, he is a long-fringed, non-shedding male, born October 2019. He has a red silky coat with lighter fringe and the perfect proportions for show coat breed standards.
Ruger is intelligent and loving — a true golden boy. He likes to sit back while the girls jump and take it all in. He can be protective in a playful way, is not afraid of loud noises, and became the "man of the yard" at just 11 months! We joke that he could win a certificate for master digger. Ruger was retired two years ago after producing exceptional litters.
Our Angels
Forever in our hearts — the dogs who started it all.

In Loving Memory
Remington
November 9, 2009 – September 10, 2020
Remington was born 11/9/09 and passed away on 9/10/20. His mom Laika was our dog, and he was the only puppy not reserved on Black Friday — Lynn convinced Rick to let us keep him. That was our very first golden litter, and the hardest litter so far. Remington was Lynn's right hand from the moment she got him. He protected her at all costs, always comforted her, and was the best dog.

In Loving Memory
Tucker
February 2009 – January 1, 2021
Tucker was our original stud at Panhandle Golden Retrievers. The Rollins looked all over for a dark golden and finally found him at Hunter's Gold Strike in Windsor, Colorado — the last one of his litter. He got his name because he was always 'tuckered out.' Tucker and Laika made some adorable puppies, and he really loved Peanut. He was a wonderful specimen — never sick, no health problems — and we still miss him very much, but are so thankful to stay in contact with all of his grand-puppies.
